Special Events Manager

Frisco Family Services seeks an energetic, EXPERIENCED, organized and mission minded
Special Events Manager to develop and execute special events that support our mission and
fundraising goals.

We are looking for a person with a minimum of 3-5 years experience planning events, preferably for nonprofits. Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of planning multiple and often simultaneous fundraising events. Qualifications include: planning, coordinating and executing events, identifying and soliciting sponsors for each event (financial and in-kind), planning and directing committees (volunteers), defining and following annual and event budgets, and managing all follow-up activities associated with events.

In partnership with the Development Director, the Special Events Manager develops and implements the annual events plan, including goals, objectives, budgets, follow-up and evaluation. Candidate also works with the agency Marketing staff to maximize event promotion and increase participation. The Special Events Manager is also responsible for 3rd-party partner events. This position includes some evening and weekend work commitments and requires the ability to work with outside vendors, planners and committees.

If you possess successful experience and skills in these areas, have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field,
a minimum of 3-5 years of event fundraising experience (preferably in a nonprofit environment) and possess exemplary computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor software databases, notably DonorPerfect, then we want to hear from you.
