Motorcyclists ride to feed Frisco at 2nd Annual Riding 4 Meals Motorcycle Run

A great day of riding, food and fun awaits motorcyclists at Frisco Family Services’ 2nd Annual Riding 4 Meals Motorcycle Run on Sept. 20. Riders will join honorary chair Frisco Mayor Maher Maso, on a beautiful ride on North Texas roads with entertaining stops.

Proceeds from the motorcycle run will raise funds for Frisco Family Services’ Food Pantry, which last year distributed more than 572,000 pounds of food to those in need in the Frisco and Frisco ISD (which includes parts of Little Elm, McKinney and Plano) communities.

“Even though there are reports that the economy is improving, we’ve seen a 23.5% increase this past year in our food pantry usage,” Nicole S. Bursey, Frisco Family Services Executive Director, said. “Participating in Riding 4 Meals will help us keep the food pantry stocked so we can meet the needs of families who depend on us.”

The ride will start and end at the Frisco Resale parking lot (9125 Dogwood St., Frisco) with stops along North Texas roads. Along the route, riders will be able to earn more entries into a drawing to win two tickets from Southwest Airlines along with other prizes. At the end of the ride, participants will enjoy great food from area restaurants, live music, games for bikers and non-bikers, a precision skills show and a classic car show.

The cost is $25 per rider and $15 for a passenger and includes participation in the ride, food, festivities, and many opportunities to win prizes. The first 200 to sign up will receive a free Riding 4 Meals patch.

Donation and sponsorship opportunities are available.
