Frisco Family Services is excited to welcome Pat Lobb’s Toyota of McKinney as Title Sponsor for the 2nd Annual Riding 4 Meals Motorcycle Run on Saturday, Sept. 20. Proceeds from the motorcycle run will help stock the shelves of Frisco Family Services’ Food Pantry, which last year distributed more than 572,000 pounds of food to those in need in the Frisco and Frisco ISD (which includes parts of Little Elm, McKinney and Plano) communities and is the only food pantry in the area.
"People often think that hunger issues are only experienced in inner cities or third world countries, but last year we provided 572,000 pounds of food to 3,900 individuals in need, right in here Frisco," Lon Ricker, Frisco Family Services Development Director, said. "Riding 4 Meals is another way that the community can come together to help keep the food pantry stocked, so we can continue to meet the needs of the families who depend on us."
Riders will join honorary chair Frisco Mayor Maher Maso and other riders for a great day of riding, food and fun, while keeping the community strong. The 120+ mile ride will start and end at the Frisco Resale parking lot (9125 Dogwood St., Frisco) with four stops on North Texas roads. Along the route, riders will be able to earn more entries into a drawing to win two tickets from Southwest Airlines as well as with other prizes. At the end of the ride, participants will enjoy great food from area restaurants, live music from the Iron Fist of Duncan, games for bikers and non-bikers, a precision skills show, entertainment from GameTruck and a classic car show.
The cost is $25 per rider and $15 for a passenger and includes participation in the ride, food, festivities, and many opportunities to win prizes. All riders will receive a free Riding 4 Meals patch.
Donation and sponsorship opportunities are available. Sponsors include Pat Lobb’s Toyota of McKinney, Prosper Bank, POParella’s Gourmet Popcorn and Treats, Massage Envy Spa, Farmer’s Insurance – Marilyn Kuhlman Agency, Frisco Style Magazine, Southwest Airlines and Whataburger.
