Frisco Family Services is proud to be one of five North Texas nonprofits selected to participate in the 2026 Light the World Giving Machine, giving our community a unique opportunity to support local neighbors during the holiday season.
This year, the Giving Machine will make stops across North Texas, including a Ribbon Cutting Event in McKinney on November 20 and a Grapevine event on December 11.
The Giving Machine offers a simple way for individuals and families to turn holiday generosity into meaningful assistance for people in need.
What Is the Light the World Giving Machine?
The Light the World Giving Machine is a charitable giving experience featuring custom vending machines where donors can select items that represent real goods and services needed by participating nonprofit organizations. Instead of receiving an item from the machine, the donor's selection becomes a charitable gift that helps someone in need.
Frisco Family Services is one of five DFW-area nonprofits selected for the 2026 Giving Machine, joining All Community Outreach, Ronald McDonald House Dallas, Soldiers' Angels and Hope Farm. Two global nonprofit organizations will also participate.
Each local nonprofit will have five charity cards representing some of the most important needs within the communities they serve.
Supporting Frisco and Frisco ISD Neighbors
Through its participation in the 2026 Giving Machine, Frisco Family Services will have another opportunity to connect the generosity of our community with the needs of local individuals and families.
Frisco Family Services provides assistance to Frisco and Frisco ISD neighbors experiencing hunger, homelessness and other urgent needs, helping individuals and families move toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.
Our five Giving Machine charity cards will represent meaningful ways donors can directly support that mission. More information about the specific Frisco Family Services Giving Machine items will be shared as the holiday season approaches.

Join us for the Giving Machine Ribbon Cutting Event in McKinney as the holiday giving season begins.
December 11, 2026 – Grapevine
The Giving Machine continues its North Texas journey with a special event in Grapevine on December 11.

Does 100% of My Giving Machine Donation Go to the Charity?
Yes. One hundred percent of every donation made through the Giving Machine goes directly to the participating nonprofit selected by the donor.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sponsors the initiative and covers Giving Machine operational expenses, allowing participating organizations to receive the full value of donations made on their behalf.
When you select a Frisco Family Services charity card, your donation directly supports our work helping neighbors in the Frisco and Frisco ISD communities.
A Growing Tradition of Giving
The Giving Machine has grown into an international holiday tradition since the first machine launched in 2017.
In 2025 alone, DFW donors gave approximately 57,000 items and helped raise more than $560,000. Since the Giving Machine initiative began, donors worldwide have contributed more than $70 million to help people in need.
The Dallas-Fort Worth area is one of the communities participating in the worldwide Light the World holiday campaign, with Giving Machines traveling across North Texas during the holiday season.
