Volunteering at Frisco Family Services

Volunteers are critical to the success of Frisco Family Services. The agency offers a wide variety of opportunities for people of all ages and in all areas of Frisco Family Services. We welcome individuals and groups to join us as we work together to make a genuine difference in the lives of the people we serve!

Age Limits

You must be 11 - 15 years old to volunteer with an adult who has completed orientation class, and 16 - 17 years old to volunteer independently with a completed orientation and parental permission (a signed parental consent form).  Children ages 4 - 10 years old and accompanied by an adult can participate in our Little Hands opportunities created just for them.

General Service

The first step in volunteering with Frisco Family Services is to sign up for a mandatory volunteer orientation (for ages 16 or older), where you will learn more about our mission and the many opportunities available for you to have a direct IMPACT in your local community.

At the orientation, you will receive a Background Verification Release Form (ages 18+) or Parental Consent Form (ages 4 - 17), to complete.
Frisco Family Services is committed to the safety of our staff, clients, customers and volunteers. As a result, we conduct annual criminal background checks on all regular volunteers (18 years of age or older) and annual motor vehicle record checks on all volunteer drivers. A suggested $10.00 donation to help defray the cost of running your background check is requested. We must receive a completed Background Check before you are able to start volunteering.
